Run through the wilderness for a horseback riding experience in the mountains of Cebu!
What kind of image do you have in mind when we talk about horseback riding?
There may be many people who have the thoughts of "it seems difficult" or "dangerous" or "is it expensive?" Some of us have never seen or touched a horse up close. However, those thoughts are about to end because horseback riding is now getting closer to you.
Meet horses bred on a large site!
Horses are properly trained and conditioned for this activity.
There are 18 horses in the stables and goats are bred together on the premises.
Please take pictures of the scenery, capture the moment.
To start with the activity, the instructor chooses a horse to ride. He chose those well-conditioned horses to give you more satisfactory of the trip.
In the meantime, we have a brief explanation.
・ How to hold reins ・ Shoulder posture ・ Move forward, left turn, right turn, stop etc.
※ If the weather is too hot, better to apply a sunscreen in advance.
After the briefing, we have to consider some safety measures like wearing of helmet and the instructors support while you are on your first attempt of riding the horse. The horse is said to “know the feeling of the person who is riding” so, do not be scared, relax your body and enjoy the moment. You’ve got to practice one more time while other members are still assisted by the instructors before finally heading to the destination.
Finally, the start of a "horse riding adventure”!
Everyone is ready to go! It takes about an hour going to the destination which is the lake. “Lake course” is a package of horseback riding tour with lunch. It is safe as the instructors go with you and lead the way and the horses that you ride into will follow.
Enter the private area of the magnificent grounds.
After traveling all the way for a few minutes, you will enter a "private area" where the general public cannot come in.
This area is a place where only some people and cars can go in. The horse will keep on moving up and down from here.
There are steep slopes, depending on the location, but the horse power is chiefly amazing in handling the ride.
Horses sometimes stop and eat grass on the way, but they start to move as soon as their rein is pulled. You can also enjoy the view from the top of the mountain.
A Lake suddenly appears in the middle of the mountains!
About one hour from the site, a lake with a beautiful emerald green water will be found in the middle of the mountains. Take a break in the hut beside the lake where you will eat lunch and also feed the fishes in the lake. Fishing is also possible, however, you need to request in advance.
Grilled food are best paired with fruits. The lunch we had here are grilled food, barbeque and fruits. The taste is very much appreciated for there are series of meat to choose from. While we are eating our lunch, the horses are also eating grasses and bathing in the lake.
After a break of about one hour, from the lake, we have to take about one hour to return to the starting point (stables).
※ The time depends on the condition of the horse.
You may feel tired if you are not used to riding for the first time, but I realized that riding is a sport that you can feel freedom .
I also want people who are new to horseback riding to experience this one of a kind adventure! The day you can do horseback riding may be near!
