"Manjuyod" also called the Maldives of the Visayas. It is located in Negros, a paradise that will only appear when low tide.

This is the best season because the sea is calm.

There are natives quietly living in cottages that are built on the sea.

The place is secluded and still not explored by many. It is worth the visit there.

How to get to Manjuyod

Normally, you will cross from Cebu to Negros Island. The travel is far from the town of Bais by a boat.

There is now a tour that we newly knew about that can go direct from Cebu.

In going to Manjuyod, you will travel for 2 hours by boat directly from "Lubi Resort."

The resort is located in the southernmost part of Cebu, Santander. As of this time, only the Resort can go on a from Cebu to Manjuyod.

CEBU TRIP DAY 1: From Cebu City to Santander

It is approximately 4 hours by car from Cebu city to the Lubi Resort located in the neighboring town "Santander",

just a few distances from the famous whale shark watching site of Oslob.

12：30 PM - We arrived at Lubi Resort, Santander

We recommend you to stay for a short time in Lubi Resort before going directly to Manjuyod.

The resort has cozy 6 rooms. There is also a diving shop inside the resort, "Emerald Green Diving Center.” Aside from a tour to Manjuyod, there are also other activities such as Sumilon Island tour, Jimbeeza Watching and you can also experience fun diving. The resort’s foods are also a recommendation because the owner of the resort is also the owner of the famous Japanese restaurant in Cebu, Skillet restaurant.

2：00 PM - After lunch, we ride a boat from the resort to Sumilon Island.

You can snorkel in marine reserves around the Sumilon. The island is about 15 minutes away from the resort by a boat.

Tropical fish and table corals can also be seen while snorkeling. The water is very transparent, so clear! Of course, you can also enjoy diving.

4：30 PM - Back at the hotel.

When you return to the hotel, you can relax. You can even soak yourself in the bathtub and be refreshed.

You can also enjoy by the beach shore.

The resort offers meals in a la carte menu from Japanese to Philippine cuisine.

After dinner, we recommend you watch the stars from the shore. It is very astounding.

Here in Santander you can see the Southern Cross and the Milky Way with the naked eye, you will feel like you are in a planetarium.

If lucky, you can see some fireflies by the palm trees.

The resort intentionally has no clock in its walls because the management want the guests enjoy the stay without looking at the time.

I, personally would like to relax and forget time during my stay. The sound of the waves and chirping of birds are comfortable and it is a resort where you can feel plenty of nature.

CEBU TRIP　DAY 2: Dolphin watching & trip to Manjuyod

06：00 AM - Departure to Manjuyod while dolphin watching

To meet the dolphins, you should wake up very early. We depart at 6:00 early in the morning to Manjuyod.

It will take 2 hours going there by boat. *Sometimes, the trip will only take 1 and a half hour depending on the wind direction.

On the way to Manjuyod is the spot where there are dolphins. When we arrived at the spot, we encountered many dolphins!

The joyful dolphins sometimes jump out of the water and jump parallel to the ship. If you are very luck, they will go near the side of the boat. ♪

08：00 AM - Arrival at Manjuyod. The water is so transparent and shallow with a vast sand bar

You will have a 360-degree superb view of the beautiful sea. On low tide, the sandy road will appear. It is a paradise floating in the sea.

At low tide the road of sand appeared. We took pictures and make memories.

There are some local cottages and stores, you can stay and relax there.

As you get off the boat, you can see vendors selling food like natural coconut juice or some other seafoods.

Overall, I am amazed at the beautiful sea which goes far. It

is a new spot that is worth going absolutely!

10：00 AM - After a lot of fun it was time to leave.

It takes about 1.5 hours to 2 hours going back to the hotel.

We arrived at the hotel before noon. After you eat your lunch, you can swim at the private beach.

If you want to go back to Cebu city around 6:00 in the evening, it is best to leave the resort around 2:00 in the afternoon.
