KIMUD SHOAL
Around the middle of March until the start of May, Kimud Shoal is a gathering point for 200 young hammerhead sharks. Thresher sharks and manta rays can be seen around just like in Monad Shoal. There will be around 30% but you should try it during their season. ※A bit early |
DAKIT-DAKIT
Aim during high-tide. Like in the south countries, Damselfishes can be seen going in and out of the corals. Many Chordates, Crescent Sweetlips, European Pilchards, and Atlantic Horse Mackerels swarm the whole island. And then, in the underwater below, a lot of corals, whale sharks and manta rays can be seen in the floor like a diorama. |
LAPUS-LAPUS
Clustered multi-colored soft corals, with many kinds of anemonefishes, frogfish, and clownfishes are gathered at one point. Ivory shells and octopuses are lurking within the gaps of rocks, a great experience for experienced and newbie divers. |
LIGHTHOUSE
Where you can see Mandarinfishes gather to breed and lay their eggs upon all year round. At night, shrimps, squid, rare crabs, seahorses, and blue-ringed octopuses appear. Also, there's a shipwreck an old Japanese World War II landing ship near the shoal of the lighthouse. Marine life such as yellow-tailed barracudas, hermit crabs, and anemonefishes have inhabited around the shipwreck. The waves are calm so diving and snorkeling will be a fun experience! |
CHOCOLATE ISLAND
A place recommended to people who love taking pictures and photographers-alike. Various kinds of eels, teira batfishes, squids, crabs, and coral reef snakes live in soft corals. Additionally, rare sea slugs, shrimps, and shellfish can be spotted on the island. It has a slightly different charm from Malapascua surroundings, where you sometimes see cuttlefish and harlequin shrimps. |
