A short History of Ferangeli Guitar Handcrafter

Ferangeli Guitar Handcrafter is a family-owned business that started in 1919 by Mr. Pedro Abendan. Their first guitar store was built in a small backyard at lincoln Street, Cebu City.

Mr. Pedro Abendan always remind his children and grandchildren that every instruments are destined to its owner.

“wala pa maabot ang tag-iya ana na instrumento.” ("The owner of that instrument didn’t arrive yet.")

with this in mind and passion of making guitars, Mr. Fernando A. Dagoc or preferred to be called "Andoy", the owner and head luthier of Ferangelie Guitar Handcrafter, strive to continue the legacy with his knowledge and skills of building instruments.

They grow steadily and successful throughout these years with the mission of

"... making Cebu-made handcrafted guitar and other string instruments compete globally with its best sound that a wood can offer. "
