So when we found Esoy Hotspring, a beautiful nature based destination situated in the hills of Catmon, Cebu, we nearly squealed with delight. This place is right up my alley: eco-friendly, the municipality emphasizes community involvement and the tons of natural space to connect with Mother Earth.

Catmon is located along the coast of the Camotes Sea, with estimated with 57 km north from Cebu City. Bounded in the north of Sogod, on the south of Carmen and the east of by Camotes Sea. According to its topography, Catmon is generally mountainous and hilly but patches of flat lands are found along the coastline and portion in poblacion.

Esoy Hotspring is owned by Mr. Celso Bustamante and his wife Ms. Menien who are dedicated in closing to nature. The hot water has temperature ranges from 40-60 C, proven in its therapeutic effect to body due to the presence of minerals that can be found in the water such as;

Esoy Hotspring opens a different treat as on your way to the hot spring, one has to climb down a 150 step stairs into the hot spring. Due to the limited space inside, the management has policy of “no booking, no entry” imposed for the guest to enjoy the entire place.

The hot spring temperature sources came from the Catmon’s highest mountain Mount Tabayag. They offer the nature’s activities including river trekking, rock formations viewing and climbing, fish feeding, and small hanging bridge crossing that can be arranged in advance.

Guest needs to pay 350 php to avail the activities.
